AUF-Congo: teachers receive training in university pedagogy
From September 25 to 27, teachers from member institutions of the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie au Congo (AUF-Congo) are training in Brazzaville on pedagogical tools for higher education.
The AUF-Congo representative, Pr Edouard Ngamountsika, opened the proceedings of the training workshop on reinforcing skills in university pedagogy. This activity is on the agenda of the aforementioned agency. Teachers from Marien-Ngouabi and Denis-Sassou-N'Guesso universities, as well as from other AUF member institutions, are taking part. " The aim is to provide them with pedagogical support tools," he says.
For the trainer who opened the series of presentations, Pr Nestor Loumouamou, the issues on which this workshop is based are entirely justified. "One of the problems of higher education is that very few teachers are trained in pedagogy. This is a reality in the Congo and in other countries. So it's important to provide them with training in university pedagogy", he explained. Over the course of the three-day course, participants will update their knowledge of university pedagogy in order to improve their know-how.
