As part of the Ivorian government's ongoing initiatives to build the capacity of defense and security forces throughout the country, two waves of 10 gendarmes each received advanced training in investigative techniques, organized by the Korhogo research section.

These sessions, which took place from September 2 to 6 and September 16 to 20, 2024 respectively, are part of an ongoing drive to upgrade the skills of the security forces, particularly in terms of criminal investigation. The main objective is to optimize the operational capabilities of gendarmes in the north of the country, particularly in the management of complex investigations.

The training also focused on improving the skills of senior officers in charge of territorial brigades in the North Zone (ZON), by providing them with technical tools and cutting-edge expertise to better manage operations.

This advanced training course is an integral part of the SECUNORD 2 project to support the fight against terrorism in northern Côte d'Ivoire. This program is financed by the European Union and implemented by the COGINTA Association, specifically targeting the Tchologo region to strengthen security and combat terrorism.
