This autumn, the twinning between Saint-Viaud (Loire-Atlantique) and the Catalan town of Sant Jaumes dels Domenys, in Spain, is taking shape.

The Vitalian twinning committee is off to a good start. Talks to finalize the twinning agreement with the Catalan commune of Sant Jaumes dels Domenys in Spain are taking shape. Recently, Roch Chéraud, the commune's mayor, was able to meet part of the Catalan municipal team. This was a major step forward in the negotiations with Marc Palau, elected representative of Sant Jaumes. It was decided to draw up an agreement between the municipal councils of our two communes.e, and communication proposals are being studied", says Anny Mériais-Faber, president of the committee.

The various activities on offer

English workshops resumed this week and are held every Monday. The president notes a growing interest in this activity. The English courses are attracting interest, and the English workshops for children and the Spanish Christmas workshop are generating requests for information. It's good to see that our activities, which are still in their infancy, are developing little by little, and we'll be making some changes to ensure that as many people as possible have access to them.

To help finance these activities and create a lively community atmosphere, the twinning committee organizes an annual event. This year, it will be an 80s evening on Saturday, October 12, starting at 7pm. A paella dinner with DJ Music.

Saturday, October 12, from 7 p.m., at the Salle du Lac in Saint-Viaud. 28 € excluding drinks. Information and reservations on 06 43 56 45 69 and helloasso.com/associations/jumelage-saintviaud. jumelage.saintviaud@gmail.com.
