Belgium/Namur: the Saint-Luc Bouge clinic installs 777 photovoltaic panels on its roofs
Clinique Saint-Luc Bouge turns to green energy. In a clear commitment to corporate social responsibility, the Namur clinic has decided to step up its green investments, including the installation of 777 photovoltaic panels.
The building is obviously a major energy consumer: in terms of gas and electricity, it consumes over 10,000 megawatts per year. In electricity alone, the institution's consumption is equivalent to that of almost 2,000 households. "We therefore decided to green our supply," explains General Manager Adrien Dufour.
The clinic will be developing other projects, including additional solar panels, a cogeneration plant, the installation of green roofs, the reinforcement of insulation, and a more eco-responsible prescription of medicines, among others.
