Over 200,000 visitors are expected to attend the 88th Foire Agricole de Libramont from July 26 to 29. This year's event will be extended by two days dedicated to the forestry and timber industry, with the 22nd edition of Demo Forest.

With 700 exhibitors, 4,000 brands and 2,800 animals spread over 100,000 m² of exhibition space, the Foire de Libramont is the largest of its kind in Europe. The theme of the 88th edition, to be held from July 26 to 29, is "Let's act together", in line with the slogan "Here begins a sustainable world" launched at the end of 2020.

A fair looking to the future

"Faced with an uncertain future, a world turned upside down by the impacts of climate change, social crises, nervous and unstable markets, the successive shocks of pandemicWe have all discovered the limits of globalization and Europe's loss of autonomy. Therole of the Libramont Fair is to highlight all the solutions that exist to enable agriculture to face up to these challenges", emphasized director Natacha Perat at the presentation conference held on Friday at the LEC in Libramont.

Among these solutions, the Mecanic Show will be demonstrating some twenty innovative machines, such as a 100% electric tractor or a sprayer that reduces the quantities of phyto products through ultra-targeted application of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and fertilizers.

The 88th Foire de Libramont will be organized around 12 hubs and trails, including a new viti- and viniculture hub. Some 200 events will be organized as part of the Fair, including livestock competitions, conferences and demonstrations. Full program on the Foire de Libramont website.
