Morocco/Signature of a cooperation agreement between the Kingdom's Ombudsman and his Senegalese counterpart

A cooperation agreement was signed on Tuesday in Rabat between the Kingdom's Ombudsman institution and its counterpart in the Republic of Senegal, with the aim of strengthening cooperation and exchanging experiences and best practices in the field of institutional mediation.

Under the terms of the agreement, signed by the Kingdom's Mediator, Mohamed Benalilou, and his Senegalese counterpart Demba Kandji, the two parties undertake to cooperate, in particular, in exchanging complaints and grievances from citizens of both countries who consider themselves to be victims of decisions or actions contrary to the principles of justice and equality before the law.the exchange of complaints and grievances from citizens of both countries who consider themselves the victims of decisions or actions contrary to the principles of justice and equality before the law.

Under the terms of the document, the two parties will also develop training and capacity-building programs for executives from the two institutions, and will carry out activities linked to the development of administrative governance, the fight against corruption and the promotion of equality before the law.velopment of administrative governance, as well as preparing and implementing programs and projects of common interest in their respective fields of competence.

In a statement to the press on this occasion, the Mediator of the Kingdom underlined that the signing of this agreement is part of the realization of the High Royal Vision for South-South cooperation and the promotion of the development of cooperation between the two countries.South-South cooperation and the Kingdom's openness to its African neighbors, noting that it was an opportunity to share Morocco's accumulated experience in the field of mediation (ombudsman) with African countries.

For his part, the Senegalese Ombudsman expressed his country's willingness to benefit from the Kingdom's extensive experience in this field, adding that the agreement would strengthen relations between the two institutions through the exchange of expertise and training in the field of mediation.

The Mediator of the Republic of Senegal is on a working visit to the Kingdom's Ombudsman institution, which will end next Thursday.
