Algeria/ Mila: more than 1,200 households in the "zones d'ombre" of three communes connected to the natural gas network

On Wednesday, no fewer than 1,234 households in shady areas of 3 communes in the wilaya of Mila were connected to the natural gas distribution network.

The gas connection benefited 644 families living in the mechtas and hamlets of Bnat Athmane, Aziza 1, Aziza 2, Seddari Ouest, Koudia, Lehrarga and Lehbalat, in the commune of Ain Beïda Ahriche.

The operation also saw the connection of 372 inhabitants of the Oued-Drabla mechta in the Ahmed Rachedi commune, and 218 of the Belmane and Dar El Madjdoub mechtas in the Rouached commune.

According to the explanations given to local authorities by Energy Director Nihad Ghennam, at the ceremony to commission the connection of the inhabitants of the Bnat Athmane mechta, the operation to bring gas to these different areas will be completed by the end of the year.tion of these areas required a public investment of over 152 million dinars for a 59.34 km distribution network, with the average cost of a connection estimated at 100.136 dinars.

These new connections have not failed to arouse the deep satisfaction of the beneficiaries, one of whom, Mourad Guendouli, a resident of Bnat Athmane, told APS of his "immense happiness at no longer having to go to the bathroom".
