Morocco/Education and scientific research: Morocco and the United States strengthen their cooperation

Rabat International University (UIR) and Mississippi State University (MSU) signed a memorandum of understanding in Washington on Tuesday, at a ceremony presided over by Morocco's ambassador to the United States, Youssef Amrani.

Signed by UIR President Noureddine Mouaddib and MSU President Mark Keenum, the agreement aims to strengthen the fruitful exchange and cooperation between the two universities in the various fields of scientific research.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amrani emphasized that the signing of this memorandum of understanding is the fruit of a solid partnership between two distinguished academic institutions, and represents the prelude to a new stage in the strengthening of their cooperative relations.

He emphasized that this promising partnership was made possible by the far-sighted vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in the field of education.

For Mr. Amrani, this agreement is also a model for many Moroccan universities in their quest for academic excellence and openness to the world.

The ambassador also highlighted the long-standing strategic alliance between Morocco and the United States, affirming that the two friendly countries are keen to strengthen their partnership in various fields.

Among these areas, Mr. Amrani cited the transfer of technology for socio-economic development and the promotion of human links, which remain essential for building lasting bridges of cultural exchange in the Atlantic region.

For his part, the President of UIR noted that the memorandum of understanding would strengthen the strategic partnership between the two universities, adding that it would also serve to promote the exchange of knowledge between the two regions.s, adding that it would also extend the scope of the framework agreement signed between the two institutions in 2011.
