Fighting fuel poverty: Enedis signs an agreement with the association Deux temps à Vire Normandie.

The partnership between Enedis and the Deux temps association is not new. Already in 2019, Enedis had donated furniture. This year, the public company is back with a cheque for €1,500 and a plan to set up public information sessions in Vire Normandie, to help reduce electricity bills.

To understand this cooperation, you need to know about the atypical approach of the Vire-based association. Created in 2017, it rents the La Menuiserie wasteland on rue de la Monderie (on the outskirts of Vire towards Sourdeval). On site, it offers premises to various associations, but also promotes culturethrough events or the loan of space. Around ten organizations work there every day, including l'Etape, the Jean-Bosco association and La Pause Paysanne , which sells food products through short distribution channels.

Against this backdrop, on Friday April 19, the president of the Deux temps association, Jean-Yves Patry, and Frédéric Hardouin, territorial delegate for Enedis Calvados, signed an agreement to seal a partnership to combat fuel poverty. "As Frédéric Hardouin explains, "We see the association as a way of helping local residents to make savings.

Following the example of Aunay-sur-Odon, Enedis plans to open permanent offices at La Menuiserie. These "physical" meetings should provide information on eco-gestures, as well as optimizing the functions of the Linky meter.
