Sustainable development: Côte d'Ivoire adopts CFAF 33 billion energy project for the east of the country
The government has adopted a decree ratifying a loan and performance contract worth 33.3 billion FCFA, to finance the energy project for the sustainable development of eastern Côte d'Ivoire.
The information comes from government spokesman Amadou Coulibaly, at the close of the Council of Ministers meeting in Abidjan on February 28, 2024.
According to Amadou Coulibaly, the project comprises three major components. Firstly, the construction of a 25 Megawatt photovoltaic power plant in Sérébou (Bondoukou) to boost Côte d'Ivoire's energy mix.s energy mix in favor of low-carbon energies, improving access to electricity inaccess to electricity in the towns of the Iffou region, and the rehabilitation and reinforcement of telecontrol and telecommunication equipment in the region's source substations.
