1.9 million euros invested by Nouvelle-Aquitaine in local companies and projects

At the last meeting of the permanent commission on Monday February 12, the Region supported several projects in the Lot-et-Garonne region. Firstly, a new business incubator at the Agen-Garonne Technopole is due to open in September. Its first strategic objective is to develop and expand the region's training offer in the fields of the environment, innovation, digital technology, research and development. A number of services and premises will be offered to companies setting up there. As this project affects the whole department, the regional grant amounts to 1,077,433 euros.

Local projects are not forgotten. For example, Villefranche-du-Queyran-based Drouaire & Fils, which specializes in the manufacture of cable-making machines, wants to design new, innovative and safe equipment. The aim: to diversify its range of special machines. This new equipment would enable the creation of a new position within the company. To help it, the Region has decided to provide a grant of 174,479 euros.

80,000 euros for Pita Pocket

Based in Cancon, Unicoque is responsible for 90% of hazelnut tonnages in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, the most productive in France. The national association of hazelnut producers is therefore to receive a grant of 416,873 euros from the Region, to launch a research and development program. The aim is to eliminate the use of phytosanitary products through the BioScan project.

A further 58,930 euros have been allocated to Rotomob, a company based in Bon-encontra. Specializing in the transformation of plastic materials by rotational molding, notably for kayaks, but also for home furnishings, the company promises a digital transformation enabling better management of industrial processes, as well as the creation of an e-commerce site for its customers.

Finally, 80,000 euros have been allocated to Pita Pocket, in Estillac, to launch its business designing and marketing vegetarian dishes, with three new jobs to follow.
