A study day on the economic inclusion of people in specific situations was organized on Tuesday, at the initiative of the Tétouan Province Social Action Division (DAS).

For his part, the Director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) in Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, Mohamed Aouaj, emphasized the various efforts made to strengthen inclusive education in schools in the province of Tanger-Té touan-Al Hoceima.He noted that "early diagnosis is one of the key elements in the training, qualification and inclusion of people with special needs, particularly with the implementation of appropriate follow-up mechanisms".

M. Aouaj pointed out that several groundbreaking initiatives had been launched in the province of Tétouan, thanks to the convergence of interventions, under the supervision of the provincial prefecture, citing in this respect the development of a protocol of services for the benefit of pupils with disabilities in the province.

For his part, Brirhet Mohssine, head of the Tétouan provincial DAS, emphasized the importance of this study day, which was dedicated to examining innovative mechanisms and solutions aimed at improving the quality of education for children with disabilities.canisms and innovative solutions aimed at consolidating the economic inclusion of people in specific situations, particularly those suffering from disabilities and abandonment.

In a statement to MAP, Mr. Assrih referred to the results of the 2014 national disability survey, revealing a national prevalence rate of 6.8%, marked by a high level of unemployment, noting that considerable efforts are being deployeds to achieve the economic inclusion of this special-needs category, notably through the application of the law imposing a 7% quota for workers with disabilities in the public sector, as well as the creation of a social cohesion support fund.

This study day was marked by discussions on the "integration of people with special abilities into the labour market" and the "integration of disabled people into the labour market".mechanisms to ensure a decent life and social protection for abandoned people".
