The fruit of the Basel-City-Yopougon twinning, the "Ring de Yopougon" show was marked by dance, theater, song and music, with a mix of opera and urban Ivorian rhythms. All these sounds took the audience on a journey between European and Ivorian cultures, myths and arts.

Mayor Adama Bictogo, who decided to build the Palais de la Culture de Yopougon at Place Ficgayo.
"The promotion of socio-cultural activities is one of the major projects of Mayor Adama Bictogo, who has decided to build the Palais de la Culture de Yopougon at Place Ficgayo, with work due to start in a few weeks", he said.
This major infrastructure project by the city council is justified by the fact that Yopougon remains the capital of culture in the Abidjan district, cradle of world-renowned urban rhythms and home to several renowned artists.
A meeting place for culture lovers
"This show, "Ring de Yopougon", which showcases the talents of Swiss and local stars, makes our town a crossroads for exchanges between communities, peoples and continents.
The future Palais de la Culture de Yopougon will be a meeting place for lovers of culture, music, theater and festivals, to promote the commune's artists," he asserted.
