The NGO Population Service Internationale (PSI) has succeeded in raising awareness of family planning among more than 8,142 women over the period 2021 to 2023 as part of its "High Tide Foundation" project, implemented in Korhogo.

The main aim of the project was to give girls and women in the Korhogo department access to family planning products and services, with particular emphasis on self-injection. By the end of the project, over 8,142 women aged between 15 and 49 had been sensitized.

At the project's closing ceremony, which took place on Thursday September 14, 2023, Mr. Soro Amadou Donapoho, on behalf of PSI's representative in Côte d'Ivoire, expressed his gratitude to the various partners, as well as to the project's beneficiaries in Korhogo, for their mobilization and enthusiasm.

The Secretary General of the Korhogo Prefecture, Tohory Martial Okou, on behalf of the Prefect of the region, praised the international organization for having chosen the Korhogo department. According to him, this project is perfectly aligned with the Ivorian government's vision of facilitating access to healthcare for the population. He also expressed the hope that the project's achievements in Korhogo would be perpetuated for the well-being of the local population.

It should be noted that PSI is a non-profit organization, working in a network with several local organizations connected on a global scale. It is dedicated to consumer-centric healthcare, with the aim of providing quality care.
