France/Ile-de-France: 100 euros to help 15-17 year-olds sign up for sports and cultural activities
An application from the Île-de-France region, aimed at 15-17 year-olds, will give access to a virtual wallet of 100 euros to enroll in sports clubs or cultural activities.
In the next few days, a 100 euro grant will be available on the LABAZ application, launched in June by the Île-de-France region, to help 15 to 17 year-olds enroll in a sports club or cultural association. This assistance will be provided on an annual basis.
"The idea is to lighten the cost of registration for parents," explained Othman Nasrou, vice-president of the Île-de-France region in charge of youth, on our airwaves.
"Young people will have a virtual wallet credited with 100 euros, which they can then use directly in a sports club to obtain a license, for example", he continued.
Offers and good deals
In addition to this assistance, LABAZ is also used by young people under 25 in the Paris region. They can log on and access offers and good deals, through a network of partners in the region "which will be expanded as we go along", stresses Othman Nasrou.
"The idea is to have an application designed for young people, with which they can interact with the region and find out everything we do for them", he sums up.
At the moment, 4,000 places are available free of charge for the Rugby World Cup, which runs in France until October 28. You can register for the draw by downloading the application.
