The strategy emphasized the need for research, application and mastery of technologies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and for the development of new technologies. emissions, and to strengthen the application of green production and environmentally-friendly solutions, as well as affordable waste treatment and recycling technologies.

She also stressed the need to develop, apply and transfer cutting-edge technologies and modern equipment for waste recycling, as well as technologies for collecting and storing carbon emitted by thermal power plants and other carbon-emitting production facilities.

To implement the assigned tasks, the Ministry of Science and Technology has approved a program for the research, application and development of energy technologies, which has been running since July 2022.

The program's objectives include the application and mastery of cutting-edge technologies and technological equipment to explore, harness, produce and make efficient use of primary energy sources, clean energies, bioenergy and renewable energies.nergy, bioenergy and renewable energies, contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and implement the national energy development strategy.

The program also aims to develop technologies for harnessing solar, wind, biomass, hydrogen and other new forms of energy.

At the same time, the Ministry of Science and Technology has also approved other similar programs in the fields of environmental industry, environmental protection, prevention and control of natural disasters and response to climate change.
