A training session on the techniques of archiving civil status records opened Tuesday in Diourbel (center), to harmonize procedures in this area.

"The objective is to review all the current differences that, for the most part, do not meet the required standards in order to give them the necessary tools for a better practice of their profession, "said the trainer Ndèye Oumy Diop, archivist by profession.

At the end of this capacity building workshop, "all agents, officers and auxiliaries of civil status who participated, will receive the practical manual for harmonization in the management of all these personal documents that constitute a national heritage to be safeguarded," she added.
