In 2022, the Hauts-de-France region has financed many surveillance cameras in several municipalities in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais. Here are some of them.
More video protection cameras in peri-urban or rural areas. This is the direction taken by the Hauts-de-France Region in 2022. The community decided on November 22, 2022 to allocate a budget to the town halls of 9 municipalities in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais so that they can install cameras.
This support device only concerns municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants. 3 municipalities in the North
In the North, the Region has come to the aid of three town halls that wanted to benefit from this scheme. The municipality of Herlies has been able to install 23 cameras, Orchies has put 21 and Saint-Saulve has placed 14. Total cost of the operation for the Region in the North: 89 367 €.
6 municipalities in the Pas-de-Calais
In the Pas-de-Calais, more municipalities have benefited from this scheme. Here is the list of the communes which could benefit from it.
- Haines with 7 cameras
- Blangy-sur-Ternoise with 13 cameras
- La Couture with 29 cameras
- Fouquières-lez-Lens with 19 cameras
- Billy-Montigny with 57 cameras
- Annezin with 6 cameras
Once again, the operation has cost the Region more than 600,000 euros in the installation of these video protection cameras.
