France/At Loctudy, Serge Guilloux is elected mayor of the town

In December 2022, the mayor of Loctudy (Finistère), Christine Zamuner, in office since 2014, announced her resignation and retired from local politics. This Friday, January 6, 2023, the municipal council met to elect the new mayor. It is Serge Guilloux, former first deputy.

In early December 2022, the mayor of Loctudy (Finistère) since 2014, Christine Zamuner, had submitted her resignation. She put an end to her mandates as an elected official for "personal reasons".

Friday, January 6, 2023, the elected officials of the municipal council met to elect the new mayor.

20 votes out of 27

During the vote, Serge Guilloux won. Former first deputy since May and the resignation of his predecessor, he won 20 votes out of 27 during the vote which took place in secret ballots between the elected officials. The post was contested by Janick Breton (five votes), member of an opposition group. Two blank ballots were also counted.
