480 executives of local authorities and other elected officials of the People's Communal Assemblies (APC) of the country have received training under the Capacity Building Program for Local Development Actors "CapDeL", revealed Sunday in Djelfa, an official with the Ministry of Interior, Local Government and Territorial Development.

Launched in 2017 with partners of the European Union (EU), the training program has allowed the training, the same year, of 90 executives of local authorities, said the director of training at the Ministry of Interior, Local Government and Territorial Planning, Noureddine Bennaidja, on the sidelines of a training session for the heads of the 32 daïras of the wadi.s of the Ministry of Interior, Local Government and Territorial Development, Noureddine Bennaidja, on the sidelines of a training session for the heads of the 32 daïras of the wilaya of Djelfa.

In 2018, 225 presidents of communal people's assemblies (P / APC) have benefited from the same training program, said the same official.

For 2022, the CapDel program has planned four (4) training sessions for the benefit of 165 executives of local government, represented by heads of daïras of the country, he added.

Lasting five (5) days, this 5th training session of its kind, hosted by the Training Center for Local Government Employees of Djelfa, aims to improve the capacitys of the concerned, and the consecration of participatory democracy at the level of local authorities and the involvement of citizens in decision-making, said the organizers.

In his speech on the occasion, the wali of Djelfa Ammar Ali Bnesaâd, stressed the "imperative to consolidate participatory democracy at the local level in order to instill a dynamic of real and sustainable development.

He also referred to the development approach aimed by the government. This is an "integrated and comprehensive approach to public life in general and all sectors of activity, so as not to exclude any citizen," he noted.
