Several projects aimed at protecting and preserving the environment in the Togolese capital, Lomé, will be financed by the Greater Lomé Autonomous District (DAGL) to the tune of 35 million FCFA. This funding will be allocated as part of the 2nd edition of the call for projects for Togolese sports federations and associations operating in the territory of Greater Lomé, which has just been launched by the authority over the period from June 21 to July 22, 2022.

The DAGL will select projects for the promotion of sports activities in Greater Lomé in particular, those of women and girls that are carried out through the sensitization of the population on waste management in particular, and the protection of the environment, in general.

The associations or sports federations whose projects are selected will each receive funding worth between 2.5 million CFA francs and 5 million CFA francs, depending on the impact of the proposed initiative.

As a reminder, this call for projects is part of the implementation of the 3rd phase of the Lomé Urban Environment Project (PEUL 3), specifically its component 4: "Sport and Development". A project funded by the French Development Agency (AFD)
