Morocco/Fez-Meknes: Agreements involving an investment of 770 MDH on the table of the Council of the region
The various Standing Committees of the Council of the Region of Fez-Meknes are holding meetings in preparation for the ordinary session in July.
Elected officials are required to discuss projects carried by their respective commissions, with a view to contributing to the development of items that will be included in the agenda, for consideration and possible approval by the regional assembly. In this sense, the Commission for Economic Development, Social, Cultural and Environmental met Thursday at a session where were discussed draft agreements of an investment of 770 million DH. The contribution of the Council of the region in this package is estimated at 180 million DH. The elected officials have proceeded to the examination of several draft agreements of an economic and social nature, whose scope is to strengthen investment in the region.
According to the Council of the region, this meeting focused on the review of a draft agreement on the financing of "Mouazara", a program dedicated to the sector of social economy and solidarity. It was also a question of examining a draft partnership agreement on the financing of the work of realization of the industrial zone of Ain Al-Bayda. Another agreement concerns the support of companies wishing to settle in the region of Fez Shore, in addition to the partnership agreement on the construction of a complex that will be dedicated to the sale of agricultural and food products in the prefectures of Meknes and El Hajeb, in addition to a draft amendment to the existing partnership agreement and the construction of the Exhibition Park of Fez.
Meeting the same day, the Commission for External Relations and Cooperation devoted its working session to the Regional Development Program. A presentation was made in this regard, on the evaluation report of the implementation of this project, in accordance with Article 15 of the decree on the procedure for the preparation of the Regional Development Program, monitoring of its implementation and the implementation of the program.velopment Program, monitoring its implementation, its evaluation and mechanisms that have prevailed during the consultation meetings held by the Council of the region with the various stakeholders for the purpose of its development.
