This is an online initiative, led by the social enterprise mobile application Goodwall, under the patronage of the First Lady, Mrs. Chantal Biya, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador. This program will help Cameroonian youth address important issues in the areas of women's empowerment, careers, education, environment and entrepreneurship.

Goodwall, a social and community enterprise, has launched Better Cameroon, an online program designed exclusively for Cameroonian youth that leverages technology and global partner networks to help millions of youth make a positive impact on society and navigate a job market affected by the pandemic. to help millions of young people make a positive impact on society and navigate a pandemic-affected job market.
Created with a multitude of international partners and collaborators such as the Chantal Biya Foundation, UNESCO, Converge, and Stratline, Better Cameroon addresses an urgent need for expanded education on critical issues such as women's empowerment and climate change. The program offers youth the opportunity to engage in a world of entrepreneurial thinking and pursue their careers or education through access to scholarships and funding opportunities.

From March 8 to May 6, 2022, Goodwall's #BetterCameroon program will consist of four challenges created to inspire youth, virtual sessions with experts (Cameroonian and international), and community content exclusively available on the app. Participants will have the opportunity to win monetary prizes and scholarships.

The program is composed of four challenges in total. Each challenge will run for 15 days and is specifically designed to motivate young Cameroonians to develop their skills and raise awareness on global issues but also to push them to make the world a better place. The first challenge focuses on women's empowerment.

It will focus on recognizing the acts of courage and determination of the women in your community who have inspired you. The second challenge focuses on career development, concentrating on achieving meaningful careers and sharing career aspirations. The third challenge will focus on the environment, with the goal of pushing participants to develop innovative solutions for a greener planet. The fourth and final challenge is a pitch competition, focused on celebrating and encouraging the innovative business ideas of Cameroon's Generation Z and their plan to achieve their goals. Participants will submit their responses to each challenge via a short video or photo.

In keeping with these themes, a diverse set of inspirational speakers will offer advice and ideas to the community. These include four extraordinary Cameroonian women: Dorothée Danedjo Fouba, a social and EdTech entrepreneur and founder of eSTEMate, an initiative that trains young women, especially girls, in STEM and MIL; Marthe Béatrice Kepseu, founder & CEO of Powerlink, a company specializing in electricity, telecommunication and networks; andMarthe Wandou, a lawyer and women's rights activist who received the 2021 Right Livelihood Award; and finally Monique Ntumngia, founder of Green Girls, a social enterprise that educates young women in rural communities on the use of renewable energy.

To further support participants and provide a bridge to new opportunities, the winners of each challenge will receive a prize. These range from scholarships to monetary awards. Five finalists in the #BetterCameroon program will also receive a special award directly from the First Lady, Mrs. Chantal Biya.
