The City of Pohénégamook was finally able to reach an agreement with its dozen unionized employees and signed their new collective agreement.

The new mayor, Benoit Morin, had assured that this was one of his priorities, even though it had expired in January 2020. The negotiations held in November and December were carried out with the collaboration of a mediator appointed by the Ministry of Labour.

In particular, the issue of wages and vacations was resolved. The new collective agreement is for seven years and will be in effect until December 31, 2026.
