Tunisia/Francophone mayors discuss Sousse's sustainable development programme

The work of the permanent commission "Cities and sustainable development" of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF) is taking place in Sousse, from 2 to 5 December 2021, to examine the experience of the city (Sousse) in terms of sustainable development.

She said that all these programs aim to improve the living conditions of the city's inhabitants through the implementation of integrated projects in several areas (economic, social and environmental).

It is the development of plans for urban transport in the city of Sousse and its municipalities, through the reorganization of traffic, the development of parking, the safety of pedestrians and the layout of public spaces.

The sustainable development program also focuses on the themes of energy saving, recycling of solid waste and management of the phenomenon of street vendors.
