Benin/Local development 7000 fairground workers from 14 countries expected at the International Fair of Parakou (FIP 2021)
There is no longer any doubt about the holding of the International Fair of Parakou from 5 to 30 December. The event which will be in its fourth edition this year, will indeed take place with enough innovations. It is the mayor of the city, Inoussa Zimé Chabi and his first deputy, chairman of the Organizing Committee, Charles Toko, who gave the assurance on Tuesday, November 23.
After two years of truce due to the covid-19 pandemic, the International Fair of Parakou resurfaces from 5 to 30 December. Placed under the theme "Parakou, the crossroads city" the event which will be in its fourth edition is already new.
According to the mayor of the city, Inoussa Zimé Chabi, indeed, this fair is the best, not only because it is organized in strict compliance with measures to fight against covid-19, but also for the simple reason that the population strongly demanded it. "The best, finally, because it comes with many innovations, especially in terms of organization, with renovated and spacious stands, top security and a really warm welcome," said the mayor. "Dear fairground, dear sponsors and dear people, the complaints of the past are taken into account. So register early, to ensure the best locations," he continued.
Thus, more than 7,000 vendors are expected at this fair. "It is therefore the mixing of business and a good opportunity for fellowship," Inoussa Zimé Chabi also assured. "Throughout the month of December, the city of Parakou will vibrate with the colors of its fair, under the patronage of the Minister of State, Abdoulaye Bio Tchané," he said.
Following him, Charles Toko, in relation to the special character of the fair, said there will be stands reserved for vaccination against covid-19. "All precautions have been taken so that foreigners who come, are required to be vaccinated," he also noted. "This will be an opportunity to have access, both to the fair and the vaccine," supported the mayor, while warning that on the premises, great attention will be paid to the strict observance of barrier gestures.
The chairman of the Organizing Committee, Charles Toko, thanked the official and traditional sponsors of the fair. These include JNP, Moov Africa, Sobebra, Oryx, AIC, Erevan, BIIC, Sobemap, Canal Plus and all others for their availability.
This trade fair will see the participation of 14 countries including Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Togo, Benin, Mali, Guinea, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Burkina-Faso, France and Turkey. About 700 stands are expected to be opened.
