Vietnam/Japan to supply one million doses of vaccine to Vietnam

Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said on Tuesday morning (July 13) in Tokyo that his country would provide an additional one million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Vietnam. This fourth batch would be shipped to the international airport of Tân Son Nhât in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday, July 16, he announced.

Earlier, on June 16, Japan provided Vietnam with nearly one million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine. The2nd batch comprising 400,000 doses arrived in Vietnam on July 2. On July 9, the3rd batch arrived at the international airport of Tân Son Nhât (Ho Chi Minh City).

This4th batch will bring the number of vaccine doses provided by Japan to Vietnam to 3 million.

Vietnam is currently rolling out the national COVID-19 vaccination campaign. This campaign for all people over 18 years old is the largest vaccination campaign in the country's history, with the aim of protecting people's health and lives and quickly returning to normal life.
