France/The Continuum of Terroirs is featured in the 2021 Tour de France

Thursday, July 1, after a parade of motorcycles of the departmental road safety squadron of the gendarmerie, the 6th stage of the Tour de France 2021, set off from the city of Tours in the Centre Val de Loire region to Châteauroux. It is also a whole caravan with its colorful advertising floats distributing force leaflets, goodies, advertising, caps etc. which preceded the riders encouraged during the various crossings of villages.

It was also a new event for the village of Thésée, which for the first time was crossed by the Tour de France.

On the route of the peloton applauded by friends and members of the association, the Economic and cultural continuum of the land was displayed on a tractor kindly made available to us by Christian Gautier, a retired farmer.

The festival continued around a country table to taste local products: cold cuts, poultry, wine, cheese, strawberries...

As the saying goes, the presence of the Continuum of Terroirs has not failed to be ''seen on TV'', as theseen on TV'', as it was broadcast in France and elsewhere in the world, on the television channel : Direct TV: Tour de France 2021. For information: Image by screen capture on Direct TV.

For the Continuum Economique et Culturel des Terroirs which has already extended its actions beyond the limits of the Gallo-Roman remains of Thésée, this visibility was intended to show the will to open up to new twinning and partnerships with terroirs from other regions of France and the world.
