Togo-France/Bressuire City Hall signs a partnership agreement with the town of Kloto 1 in France

The Municipality of Bressuire (France) and the Municipality of Kloto 1 (Togo) signed on July 6, 2021 in Bressuire in France, a partnership agreement aiming at consolidating the relations of decentralized cooperation (twinning) between the two municipalities. The protocol document of this agreement was initialed in Paris by Mrs Emmanuelle Mena (Mayor of the Municipality of Bressuire) and Winny Dogbatse (Mayor of the Municipality of Kloto 1).

By signing this agreement, valued at 175.000 Euros, that is 114 million FCFA, the Commune of Bressuire undertakes to finance development projects in the Commune of Kloto 1, notably the extension of drinking water in the town of Kpalimé, sanitation projects and recycling of waste and household garbage.

Mr. Mahé Pierre (Representative of Expert Solidaire France), the communal council of Bressuire, local authorities of the commune of Bressuire were present at this ceremony.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Mayor of Kloto 1 Commune Winny Dogbatse presented to the communal authorities of Bressuire, the potentialities and assets of Togo in general, and in particular, those of the commune of Kloto 1. He also presented to the communal council of Bressuire, the vision of the Togolese Head of State Faure Gnassingbé (NDP, government roadmap etc,,,) to make Togo, an emerging country by 2030. The mayor of Kloto 1 invited investors from Bressuire to invest in Togo.

The stay in Paris in France of Mayor Winny Dogbatse of Kloto 1 was marked by several activities, including visits to companies. He visited the waste treatment plant of Bressuire, (the partner in charge of the recycling of waste and household waste of the Kloto 1 commune) and the Syndicat du Val de Loire, (the partner in charge of the extension of water in the city of Kpalimé).

The day of Wednesday, July 7, 2021 is also devoted to visits of companies. A busy day, marked by the visit of the Castle of Bressuire and a working session between ABK (Amicale Bressuire Kpalimé), Expert Solidaire and the Municipality of Kloto 1 represented by its Mayor Winny DOGBATSE, followed by a lunch.

Let us emphasize that several French financial partners are expected soon in Kpalimé (Chief town of Kloto 1).
