Benin/Ketou communal council holds its 2nd ordinary session for the year 2021

The communal council of Kétou has been holding since Monday at the deliberation room of the town hall of the locality and under the effective chairmanship of Mayor Lucie Ablawa Sessinou, its second ordinary session for the year 2021, with several items on the agenda and aiming at deliberations for the community welfare

At this ordinary session, the communal councillors have unanimously, during the work of the first day, among other things adopted after heated debates, the administrative account management 2020 of the commune, assigned an area of 500 m² to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, for the construction of a storage warehouse for market garden products and an input shop within the framework of PADMAR and others.

At the end of the day's work, Mayor Lucie Sessinou expressed her satisfaction and praised the quality of the debates which, according to her, allowed the councillors to discuss thoroughly on each of the points discussed with the presentation of the heads of services and technicians of the municipal administration.

Speaking on the point relating to the organization of a training seminar by the communal council together with the ANPE for the youth of the commune, the communal authority stressed that the communal council of Kétou has a vast program of training, sensitization and awareness of the youth. "We wanted to train young people in promising jobs and bring them to be more useful, to get the youth of Kétou out of precariousness and underdevelopment," she explained before stressing that only academic degrees can no longer get the youth out of its current state.

Speaking in the same vein, Councillor Raymond Adékambi said that the initiative aims to bring out a real employment policy in the town of Kétou. Delighted with the atmosphere within the council, he also reassured that his peers will continue to work together with the mayor of the town of Kétou for the happiness of the people.

Scheduled to last four days, the work of the second ordinary session of the council of Kétou, will end next Thursday.
