The children and youth department is looking back on a great experience. At the initiative of a young person of the commune, the leisure centre received at the end of March the association Unicef within the framework of an awareness raising on the rights of the child.

"We were ten children in CE2 and CM1 to participate", explains Inès (CM1) who wrote the press release.

Thanks to volunteers and civic service volunteers such as Adeline, Alice, Arnaud, Gaël, Jérémy, Léonie, etc., "we became aware of the importance of children's rights such as the right to a voice, access to drinking water, the right to education, etc. Thanks to volunteers and civic service volunteers such as Adeline, Alice, Arnaud, Gaël, Jérémy, Léonie, etc., "we became aware of the importance of children's rights such as voice, access to drinking water, identity, schooling, a preserved land, good health, etc. In the form of games, we realized the importance of preserving water, which is unequally distributed, that everyone must take care of the planet, and especially at the present time, children are not all equal in the respect of their rights everywhere in the world.

All elementary school children had access to the UNICEF exhibition on children's rights for two weeks at the Paul-Émile-Victor school.

The children's and youth service thanks UNICEF for their work at the leisure centre and for the help they have provided in the world, particularly by setting up wells. The department "hopes to renew this partnership and extend it throughout the year at the leisure centre, with the eventual aim of participating in other actions proposed by Unicef such as the children's literature prize or the national consultation of 6-18 year olds".
