A walk to raise awareness of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and stroke took place this Sunday in Tivaouane, on the initiative of the city's health officials.

Led by the director of the Mame Abdou Aziz Sy Dabakh Hospital, Yoro Diagne, the hikers covered various arteries in the city to raise awareness of "the importance of prevention in the fight against chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and stroke. the importance of prevention in the fight against so-called chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and stroke.

Yoro Diagne also encouraged people to take up sport on a regular basis.

Mamadou Thiam, Deputy Prefect of Tivaouane, welcomed the health facility's approach, noting that "initiatives of this kind must be repeated".

According to him, "advice and awareness-raising initiatives by health professionals always go straight to the heart of the population".
