The IOM Senegal head of mission believes that "any sectoral policy or strategy on migration must be based on factual data [...]".

On this basis, the IOM will be assisting the many government entities involved in data collection, in this task which takes on "several forms", she added.

Over the two days, participants will be trained in the creation and management of data collection forms, and their skills in analyzing and visualizing the data collected will be enhanced.
