Senegal/Foundation provides financial support for vulnerable families in Kaffrine

SENICO, Sénégalaise d'industrie et de commerce, through its Foundation, handed out financial support on Friday to 190 people from vulnerable families in Kaffrine, a region in central Senegal.

El Hadji Omar Seck, in charge of communications and external relations for the foundation, recalled that this gesture perpetuates the company's tradition of providing charity to the underprivileged on the eve of major events.

We are targeting 4,000 beneficiaries in Senegal, including 190 in the Kaffrine region, who will receive financial envelopes of 50,000 CFA francs for some and 100,000 CFA francs for others," explained Mr. Seck.

The ceremony was attended by Magatte Ndiaye, Regional Director of Social Action for Kaffrine, and his colleagues, imams and Koranic teachers, among others.

The beneficiaries, mainly Koranic masters, ''Ndèyou daaras'' (Koranic school godmothers), imams and other social categories, attended the event.imams and other social categories, welcomed the gesture of the donor foundation, SENICO, indicating that this support came at the right time, in the context of Tabaski.
