Morocco/School support: the startup Kezakoo raises 2 million dirhams

Kezakoo, a Moroccan Edtech specializing in tutoring, announced that it has completed its first round of financing of DH 2 million from the investment company WITAMAX One, jointly created by Southbridge A&I and AXXAM Family Office.

This fundraising will allow it to complete and enrich its product range, but also to support its organizational development, says the young Moroccan startup in a statement.

The same source also announces the launch of a new offer for the next school year 2021-2022, which will cover the Moroccan high school curriculum (Arabic and international option French).

This offer, more complete and improved, will be presented via a dedicated mobile application, Kezakoo said. "In order to remain accessible to all learners from different social strata and regions, the kezakoo.com web platform and its mobile application will remain mainly free of charge and at the same time offer additional features at affordable prices," it says.

Kezakoo is an e-learning platform specializing in educational videos for high school students founded in 2013 by engineering duo Youssef Ghalem and Ahmed Lahlou.

The startup currently managed by Reda El Fakir, a graduate of ISCAE and education activist, has a vision of accompanying Moroccan students in their success.It has a vision to help Moroccan students succeed in school thanks to its expertise in the field and the contribution of its various strategic partners.

The platform, which has crossed the threshold of 5 million unique users in Morocco, was elected Web Startup of the Year 2014 at the Maroc Web Awards, and the most beloved social enterprise in Africa (POESAM Orange Award 2015).
