Morocco/Casablanca: The district of Sidi Belyout wants a makeover
Users of Ziraoui Boulevard in Casablanca, as well as the residents of this historic district, will have to be very patient over the coming months. The district of Sidi Belyout, to which this neighborhood belongs, has begun its transformation, as part of a comprehensive and integrated development program including several neighborhoods under its jurisdiction.
Ziraoui Boulevard is the first to benefit from this program in the district. The work is taking place on the left bank coming from Moulay Youssef Boulevard towards Zerktouni Boulevard. The boulevard has always been characterized by suffocating traffic congestion, particularly at school leaving hours of Lycée Lyautey and other establishments in the district. This boulevard has become even more difficult to cross for road users. The construction site occupies the Ziraoui boulevard between its intersections with Moulay Youssef and Zerktouni boulevards. Project objective: to rehabilitate this artery which has an important role in the traffic at the level of the metropolis, to proceed to a development of facade to facade, to restore the roadway and to put a touch of aesthetics on the whole.

It is a question of reinforcing the drinking water network over a length of 1.3 km for a diameter of 160 mm, as well as the liquid sewerage network over a length of 240 m for a diameter of 600 mm.
