Mali/Bamako blazes to the rhythms of Mali!

The Spot on Mali festival returns for its 11th edition, promising two unforgettable musical evenings. On January 10 and 11, 2024, Bamako's Maison des Jeunes will welcome a host of Malian stars, including the legendary Amadou & Mariam and the talented Oumou Demba Kouyaté.

In addition to these headliners, the event features young Malian artists, selected through a call for applications. It's a chance for them to perform in front of a well-informed audience, and to meet music industry professionals from all over the world. Kokao Dembélé, Amy Yerewolo, Inna la Star, Poupée Arby and Niaka Sacko are just some of the promising talents set to set the stage alight.

Organized by the Danish Embassy in Mali in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, the Spot on Mali festival is much more than just a musical event.
