France/ Launch of the 13th call for projects of the Fonds franco-québécois pour la coopération décentralisée (FFQCD) 2025-2026

The Ministère de l'Europe et des Affaires étrangères (MEAE) and the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie (MRIF) of Quebec announce the opening of the 13th call for projects of the Fonds franco-québécois pour la coopération décentralisée (FFQCD) for the period 2025-2026 from September 16, 2024. The deadline for project submissions is December 16, 2024.

The FFQCD was created in 2005 in response to the desire of the Prime Ministers of France and Quebec to encourage and support Franco-Quebec cooperation at local and regional levels. It operates within the framework of the Commission permanente de coopération franco-québécoise, under the responsibility, on the one hand, of the MEAE, represented by the Consulate General of France in Quebec City and the Délégation pour les communautés franco-québécoise. Québec and the Délégation pour les collectivités territoriales et la société civile (DCTCIV), on the one hand, and Québec's Ministère des relations internationales et de la francophonie (MRIF), on the other.

The FFQCD plays an important role in relations between France and Quebec. Managed on an equal footing by the MEAE and the MRIF, this joint fund will support 24 projects during the 2023-2024 period to promote the international influence of Franco-Quebec cooperation.ration, in the context of the Franco-Quebec Year of Innovation 2023.

The FFQCD's 13th call for projects (biennial 2023-2024) is seeking applications on the following themes

  • Economic development and regional attractiveness
  • Ecological transition and intelligent mobility
  • Digital inclusion and artificial intelligence
  • Cultural influence and the French-speaking world
  • Vocational training
