Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu, committed to the Agenda 2030 process, has set itself a program in favor of sustainable urban development. It will once again be taking part in the European Sustainable Development Weeks this year, from Wednesday September 18 to Tuesday October 8, 2024, to continue raising public awareness.

Agenda 2030: actions taken

To meet the region's environmental challenges, Saint-Philbert has launched a number of actions as part of its Agenda 2030, starting in 2021. It has recruited an agent dedicated to this mission and initiated a collective reflection on current issues with regular events: zero waste challenge, Antigaspi canteen, sustainable development festival, waste collection, naturalist activities, etc. Local projects have also been launched. A Nature contract signed with the Département has enabled the development of the Biodiver'Cité center in the Parc de la Boulogne, experiments in soft mobility and the creation of a new park.In addition, the commune has introduced differentiated management of its green spaces.

Free events

From Wednesday, September 18, the town is offering a number of free events. A plant life discovery workshop will be held at the André-Malraux library on Wednesday, September 18 at 3pm. This will be followed at 4 p.m. by a fun activity based around the grain library. On Saturday September 21, at 10 a.m., the Centre permanent d'initiative à l'environnement Logne et Grand Lieu will offer a discovery walk of the southern zone of the Pôle Biodiver'Cité.
