France/Pont-l'Abbé. Pont-l'Abbé Schleiden twinning, the reunion!

A group of Pont-l'Abbistes have just returned from Schleiden, a German town that has been twinned with the Bigouden capital for 45 years.

"Covid and the floods that hit Schleiden in July 2021 had kept us somewhat apart. The reunion was all the better for it!" says Fabienne Hélias, from the Pont-l'Abbiste twinning committee. In the opinion of all those who took part in the trip, the welcome on the other side of the Rhine was "grandiose". The final evening together paid tribute to the courage of the local people and the solidarity of all. " It will take many more years of work, but the general mobilization will enable us to move forward," emphasizes Marie-Claire Le Corre, president of the committee.
