France/Ploemeur's shopkeepers and craftsmen sign a partnership agreement with the town to simplify exchanges
There are over 6,000 retailers' associations in France. Ploemeur's is an essential partner in developing the appeal of the town center, Lomener, Kerroc'h, Courégant and Fort-Bloqué. "The relationships generated by this three-way partnership enable frank, friendly and straightforward exchanges," emphasizes Marianne Poulain, councillor responsible for trade.
The aim is to liven up town centers and attract customers to port cities, and adapt urban policies to boost commercial activity.
Otherwise, the municipality runs the risk of a high level of commercial vacancy and an exodus of shoppers.
"The people of Ploemeur want local life. The changes we have to adapt to the expectations of the population, to the dynamism of retailers and craftsmen, while respecting our workload, are edifying. The town is attracting people with its dynamism, and that's good for the future," says Ronan Loas.
