Mainvilliers. The local economy supports the town in exchange for visibility.

On Friday, in front of the main entrance to the town hall, Mainvilliers' technical services took delivery of a Renault Kangoo electric vehicle. Michèle Bonthoux, mayor, surrounded by Christophe Defrance, first deputy mayor, and Jacques Guillemet, deputy mayor in charge of the local economy, spoke of the fruitful collaboration, she said, that has existed since 2015 between the commune and the Trafic Communication company, which supplied the vehicle.

She expressed her gratitude to the eleven local businesses that are financing the provision of this vehicle, in exchange for advertising visibility, since these companies each have a silk-screened placard on the vehicle.

This partnership operation has three objectives: to improve the day-to-day work of the technical services in a more environmentally-friendly way, while supporting the local economy by giving it visibility. Decked out in dynamic colors, the electric vehicle destined for the municipal technical center will regularly criss-cross the streets of the commune for three years.

Only the registration, insurance and maintenance costs will be borne by the commune.

"The choice of a 100% electric vehicle reflects our desire to reduce our carbon footprint and promote more eco-friendly modes of transport, reinforcing our commitment to the environment.cological modes of transport, reinforcing the town's commitment to sustainable and innovative practices", added the mayor.
