Jargeau. The Jargeau-Corsham twinning has risen from the ashes. Last season, Carole Tesseire-Dujardin announced the disappearance, without notice, of the twinning with the English town of Corsham. This was without knowing the determination of the dynamic president, who did not understand nor accept this renunciation after forty years of existence.

On October 24, the AJC board, along with their families, attempted a life-saving trip, and well done. On the Corsham side, a new president has arrived. It was the death of the former president that had put an end to the relationship, as no one was willing to take over the position.

Rebecca Harris-Stocks, known as Becky, took over and friendships were quickly renewed.

October 24 marks a milestone for AJC: the date of the first signing in 1981 and the date of renewal in 2022.

Exchanges will be able to resume thanks to the die-hards of the first hour. The travelers met with Deputy Mayor Helen Belcher and City Councilor Anthea White on site, who were very supportive.

It is therefore with relief that the Jargeau-Corsham Twinning Association announces its continuation. This will be confirmed in January, at the General Assembly which will prepare the reception of the English friends. The AJC invites all those interested to join.
