France/Guichen. The twinning committee has resumed its activities
The Committee for International Relations of Twinned Municipalities (Cric), which brings together eight municipalities in the area, is resuming its activities with the cities of Skerries (Ireland) and Srem (Poland). A concert for the benefit of Ukrainian refugees is planned.
A concert will be offered to support the Polish city which has been hosting many Ukrainian refugees since the beginning of the war. Hundreds of people have been welcomed in Srem for eight months. This causes many expenses: housing, health, schooling. We have already made a donation last March and we would like to bring a financial help again, underlines Guy Appéré, president of the CRIC.
The vocal group Croq'notes will present Histoires d'elles, a selection of songs about women. All proceeds will be donated to the city of Srem.
Friday, November 25, at 8:30 pm, espace Galatée Prices: adults 9 €, children (-12 years) 5 €. Online ticketing: billetweb.fr/concert-croqnotes-guichen or at the Galatée space on Saturday, November 19 from 10 am to 12 pm
An exhibition of photographs
In order to make its actions known, Cric is inaugurating an exhibition highlighting the interest of twinning for the citizens. Photos of our territory and of Srem and Skerries will be presented around various themes: landscapes, economic activity, emblematic buildings, popular festivals etc. explains Guy Appéré. We want to explain our actions with foreign countries. To answer the question: what is twinning?
A total of twenty panels will be displayed and intended to be exhibited in each of the eight municipalities that have signed twinning agreements: Baulon, Bourg-des-Comptes, Goven, Guichen, Guignen, Laillé, Lassy and Saint-Senoux.
