France/FACECO Ukraine and Turkey/Syria reports
The Délégation pour l'Action Extérieure des Collectivités Territoriales (DAECT) shares with you the reports produced by the Centre de Crise et de Soutien (CDCS) of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs on the Fonds de concours des collectivités territoriales (FACECO) in support of the victims of the war in Ukraine and the populations affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

- Ukraine
More than 1,800 French local authorities of all sizes - regions, départements, communes and their groupings - have made substantial contributions to FACECO.
Thanks to the mobilization of our territories, over 9 million euros were raised. FACECO has thus been able to finance essential humanitarian actions, defined in concert with the Ukrainian authorities, our embassy in Kiev and the ministries concerned, in a spirit of cooperation, responsiveness and efficiency.
Since the beginning of the conflict, more than 50 operations, including "A boat for Ukraine", have enabled the delivery of over 5,600 tonnes of equipment and humanitarian goods to local authorities.
Read the latest FACECO Ukraine report (5th version, updated in June 2023), which describes the operations carried out, the precise allocation of donations and details of the funds donated.and details of the solidarity shown by contributors, listed region by region, on France Diplomatie. Please note that this edition of the report does not include the humanitarian response to the destruction of the Kakhovka dam, which will be published in the next edition.
- Turkey and Syria
In the wake of the deadly double earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023, killing tens of thousands of people and injuring many more, the CTFs showed their solidarity by donating to FACECO.
In particular, their support contributed to the purchase of vaccines, as well as to the airfreight operation enabling 40 tons of equipment to be transported, including generators, medicines, tents and infant milk. This report is available on France Diplomatie.
