France/Crécy-la-Chapelle's new sustainable development initiative
Collective composting in Crécy? The town is launching a call for projects.
On Saturday September 14, to mark Sustainable Development Day, a training session on the use of a composter will be held in the library courtyard for those who register. At the same time, the commune of Crécy-la-Chapelle is launching a call for collective composting projects.
Three conditions
Covaltri, the organization in charge of waste management, is behind the project, which aims to transform organic waste into a resource for those without a garden. Three conditions have been set for the project to succeed: a suitable space must be available in the commune, at least 10 households must be willing to participate, and three "site referents" must be identified.
