France/Cosne-sur-Loire. The essential partnership with local associations
The École de la seconde chance (E2C) and the association Formes et Couleurs have, as they have for the past three years, signed a partnership agreement.
The young people of this school, in groups of five or six, will continue to participate, in the premises of the association, twice a month, in a workshop of realization of stained glasses, animated by the house specialist Gérard Fritz.
David Desloovers, director of the school, and Metin Sahin, educational animator in charge of personal development activities, explain their approach towards the associative world.
"We rely on local partners to enable young people to acquire basic notions through various activities. Here, by making a stained glass window", explains Gérard Fritz, "they have to listen to and respect instructions, take measurements, and review basic rules of geometry in particular. The practical phase will help them in their professional project. Making a simple stained glass window is often a challenge for them, and they are motivated," the managers say. When their course at the E2C allows it, they complete their work and leave with it.
When signing the agreement with the director, the new president of Formes et couleurs, Michelle Sanchez, thanked her predecessor Dominique Durin for having launched this project, as well as the E2C.At the signing of the agreement with the director, Michelle Sanchez, the new president of Formes et couleurs, thanked her predecessor Dominique Durin for having launched this project, as well as the facilitator and the volunteers who help during the sessions, almost one volunteer for one young person.
