France/Arzon: Lahinch twinning committee distributes vouchers to Ukrainian schoolchildren
Arzon's twinning committee with the Irish town of Lahinch took the opportunity of its galette des Rois, on Saturday January 11, to distribute vouchers to fourteen Ukrainian pupils attending school on the peninsula.
An association committed for over 30 years
The vouchers, worth €30, can be spent at a local bookshop. The money raised from a show organized by the association over a year ago had already enabled an initial donation.
For the past thirty-three years, the committee has been known for various actions linked to twinning with Ireland, such as the Brittany Winter School and Saint Patrick's Day.
