Chad: Tandjilé targets agro-pastoral innovation to boost local economy

On November 14, 2023, in Laï, in the Tandjilé province, Governor Ildjima Abdraman inaugurated a workshop dedicated to the project to strengthen innovation in agro-pastoral entrepreneurship among young people and women.

The workshop marks the official launch of the project in the province, and aims to increase incomes and create decent jobs. The mayor of Laï, Saou Dono Robert, stressed the importance of the project for vulnerable communities.

Project manager Mbaigoto Rabet Emmanuel predicts positive spin-offs for the economic empowerment of young people and women.

Financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the Green Climate Fund, the project hopes to benefit 82,000 young people and women in the province.
