Following the municipal elections, a number of positions remained vacant, notably on the financial assistance application analysis committee, the urban planning advisory committee and the committee responsible for potentially dangerous or dangerous dogs. The council members who will fill these positions from now on were appointed at the last municipal council meeting.

Rémi Brassard will now sit on the financial assistance analysis committee, along with Christine Gingras, who will make herself available if he is unable to act. As for the Comité consultatif d'urbanisme (CCU), Christine Gingras will replace Sylvain Beaudoin on the team. The purpose of the CCU is to make recommendations to elected officials on various land-use planning projects.

Replacing Marc Gendron, Valérie Desrochers will sit on the committee responsible for potentially dangerous or dangerous dogs. Finally, Councillor Joanie Bédard will represent the Town on the Board of Directors of the Festival de l'érable.

Partnerships with La Loutre and Mont Apic

Winter sports enthusiasts will benefit from a partnership with Mont Apic. Plessisville residents will have the opportunity to purchase a day ticket at the resort at a 50% discount on February 7 and 22, 2026. Plessisville cross-country skiers will also be able to obtain free admission to La Loutre during the 2025-2026 season. "Mont Apic is, among other things, part of the regional value. There are four facilities in our region that are part of this concept. The MRC grants a lot of money to these places on a regular basis. Our role as a city is to help them grow and attract customers. It also helps our families with lower incomes," said Mayor Marc Morin.

The Town of Plessisville will also be updating its $3,202,000 bond issue. This amount is used for several projects brought in by the Town, and it is standard practice to review it in view of changing interest rates. This exercise is normally carried out every five years.
